Sarah P. Davis as a designer

A graphic designer with a fresh vibrant style, I bring a variety of experiences with print and photographic elements. As graduate of James Madison University with a B.F.A. in graphic design, I have professional experience in a variety of settings.  In September 2014 I started a position as junior graphic designer at the University of Baltimore within the University of Relations department. Prior to accepting the new position I completed a three-month internship with Agrigraphics, Ltd., an agricultural photography and media company in Wisconsin. Further, I have experience working in sport media as an intern at Ripken Baseball, Inc. as well as freelance work in magazine layout and advertisement design. As a student at JMU, I gained three years experience as an event photographer with numerous photo credits in The Madison magazine. Through these experiences, I feel I have developed the skill and ability to work collaboratively as well as independently, to meet the needs of clients, and operate under production deadlines.

I have numerous freelance clients that I work with to develop logos, brand identity, brochures, website design and various marketing print pieces. I enjoy having the ability to continue participating the dairy industry with my freelance projects.

Well-versed in Adobe Creative Suite, I am in adept at Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. As a student, I distinguished myself as a semi-finalist in Under Armour’s 2012 Ultimate Intern competition and garnered first prize in a re-branding competition at JMU. With a keen eye for style and design, I have an easy-going manner that helps me to be a great listener and team player.

SPD in her free time

I was born and raised in Carroll County, Md on a dairy farm. I grew up showing dairy cattle in 4-H at local, state and national levels. Dairy showing has taken me to many different states and opportunities that I will never forget. When I am not spending time with my cows you can find me at the beach, capturing life with my Nikon camera, playing sports or watching re-runs of LOST. I love to do all Marylander things- summer nights at Camden Yards, eating crabs, drinking a cold natty boh, cheering on the Ravens and attending Preakness in the spring!

I was a member of the JMU Club Lacrosse team while attending James Madison. In 2013 we traveled to Colorado Springs, CO to compete in the WCLA Lacrosse Championship Tournament where we won the championship!

I now live in the Canton neighborhood in Baltimore City.
